How To Register and Activate Your Account On Ecobank Mobile Banking App

  1. Download and install the App on your phone by searching for the keyword “Ecobank” on your phone’s App store, download it and install it.
  2. After opening it, select your country which should be “Nigeria” or any other country you currently operate an Ecobank account.
  3. Select your Language.
  4. Input your phone number and click on activate.

 

How To Registration And Activation

For existing Ecobank Customers without a Mobile Banking Account, you will need one of the following to enable you activate the Ecobank Mobile App:

A valid Ecobank Debit Card (must not be blocked or expired)

OR

Valid Retail Internet Banking Credentials. This does not apply for Corporate Internet Banking Accounts

You will also need to have the mobile number you have registered against your bank account/s with Ecobank. To complete your app activation, you will receive an SMS with a One Time PIN (OTP) on this mobile number. Simply…

  • Enter the Mobile Number you currently use to access the Ecobank Mobile Banking Platform OR the Mobile Number you want to use to register for Ecobank Mobile Banking.

 

For Existing Ecobank Mobile Banking Customers

  1. The Mobile Banking Platform will send a 6-Digit Activation Code to the Mobile Number you provide
  2. Enter the 6-Digit Activation Code into the App. A correct Activation Code will send you to the Login Page
  3. Enter the current PIN you use to access your Mobile Banking Profile.
  4. This will load your profile on the Mobile App Landing Page….and you can start enjoying Mobile Banking Services.

For Existing Ecobank Customers New To Mobile Banking

Activate using Debit Card

  1. If you selected “Activate using Debit Card”, A PopUp will appear on the App.
  2. Enter your Debit Card PAN and Expiry Date (MM/YYYY). (The PAN is a 16 Digit Number found on the front of your Ecobank Debit Card)
  3. Click on the Submit button. The Mobile App will validate details provided against the Ecobank Platform
  4. If the credential is valid, your Ecobank Mobile Banking Profile will be created on the Ecobank Mobile Banking Platform.
  5. A One Time Password (OTP) is generated and sent by SMS to your Mobile Number registered with Ecobank and used to receive Banking SMS.
  6. Enter the OTP received into the Activation Page on the Mobile App.
  7. Select a 6-Digit PIN and re-enter PIN to confirm it in the mobile App
  8. This will load your profile on the Mobile App Landing Page and you can start enjoying Mobile Banking Services.

 

How To Activate Using Internet Banking

  1. If you selected “Activate using Internet Banking”, you will be required to provide your Ecobank Internet Banking Username and Password into the fields provided.
  2. Click on the Submit button. The Mobile App will validate details provided
  3. If credential is valid, your Ecobank Mobile Banking Profile will be created on the Ecobank Mobile Banking Platform.
  4. A One Time Password (OTP) is generated and sent by SMS to your Mobile Number registered with Ecobank and used to receive Banking SMS
  5. Enter the OTP received into the Activation Page on the Mobile App.
  6. Select a 6-Digit PIN and re-enter PIN to confirm it in mobile App
  7. This will load your profile on the Mobile App Landing Page….and you can start enjoying Mobile Banking Services.

 

How To Check Your Balance:

  1. Login.
  2. Click on the Menu tab.
  3. Select the “My account” option and your account balance would be displayed for you.

 

How To Transfer Funds

  1. Login
  2. Click on the Menu tab.
  3. Select “Transfer Funds” option.
  4. On the new page, select if you’re transferring funds to an Ecobank account, other banks or other countries.
  5. After selecting the bank you wish to transfer funds to, input the amount and account number.
  6. Enter your 6 digit pin to authenticate transaction.

 

How To Buy Airtime On This Platform

  1. Login
  2. Click on the Menu Tab
  3. Select “Airtime Topup” in the list of options.
  4. On the new page, input the number you wish to recharge, the amount and network.
  5. Enter your 6 digit pin to authenticate transaction.

 

To Change Your Pin or Password

  1. Navigate to the Menu Bar.
  2. Scroll down and select “settings” in the list of options.
  3. Select if you want to change your pin or password.
  4. After selecting, input your old password or pin.
  5. Input the new password or pin you want to change it to.
