First Bank Nigeria like it’s name entails is Nigeria’s first ever bank, it was established in the year 1894. Meaning it has been in existent for over 120 years.

 

Being the First Bank in Nigeria, it was quite important for them to create easier ways for their customers to perform banking transactions, without visiting any First Bank Branch. This they’ve been able to achieve by creating their Internet Banking platform, Mobile USSD banking, Mobile Banking App and other channels.

We’ll be talking about “FirstMobile” which is their Mobile Banking App.

 

 

First Bank Mobile Money Banking Or Transfer Platform

First Bank mobile banking transfer platform is one of the best, fastest and most secure mobile banking platforms in Nigeria. Unlike other banks, it is even possible for customers without ATM Debit Cards to access the Mobile Banking Platform

There are lots of transactions you can perform with First Bank Mobile Banking platform, with it’s special USSD code being *894#. You can check your account balance, transfer funds(money) from your account to another account (both for first bank and other banks in Nigeria), buy credit for yourself and or others and so much more.

 

 

How To Get Started And Activate The App

  1. Goto your phone’s App Store and search for the keyword “FirstMonile”, select the one with First Bank’s Logo.
  2. Download and Install it
  3. Launch the App.
  4. Click on “Register”
  5. Enter your First Bank issued Naira Master Card or Verve card details and pin.
  6. An OTP code would be sent to the phone number linked to your First Bank Account.
  7. Enter the OTP code.
  8. Create a unique 5-digits pin, called “mpin” which you’d be using for subsequent logins.
  9. Choose two security questions and answer it.
  10. Create à 4-digit transaction pin that you’ll be using to authenticate or confirm transactions.

 

How To Check Your Account Balance

  1. Login into the App.
  2. On the homepage of your account once you login, your account balance for your account(s) would be displayed to you.

How To Transfer Funds

  1. Login into the App.
  2. Click on the Menu Button.
  3. From the drop down, select “Transfer Money”.
  4. Select the Account that you wish to transfer to, if it is your other First Bank Account or another First Bank customer’s account, other banks or the other listed account options.
  5. Input the details of the Account you wish to transfer to and the amount.
  6. Enter your 4-digits transaction pin to authenticate the transaction.

 

NB: There’s a limit to amount you can transfer with the transaction pin. If you want your transaction limit to be increased, apply for a hardware token at a First Bank branch close to you.

 

How To Buy Airtime

  1. Login into the App.
  2. Click on the Menu Button.
  3. From the drop down, select “Buy Airtime”.
  4. On the next page, select the network you wish to buy airtime from.
  5. Input the number and the amount you wish to transfer.
  6. Enter your 4-digits transaction pin to confirm the purchase of the airtime.

 

How To Change Your MPin Or Transaction Pin

  1. Login into the App.
  2. Click on the Menu Button.
  3. From the drop down, select “Account Settings”.
  4. Click on change mPin or Transaction Pin (whichever you wish to do).
  5. Input your old mpin or transaction pin.
  6. Enter your new preferred mPin or Transaction pin.

  16. I am activating first mobile on a new phone. Once I type in the first two numbers of the Card it starts showing “wrong PAN”, when I finish and put card PIN and click continue. It shows “error verifying card”
