Kwara state university popularly known as Kwasu was established in 2009 during the administration of Dr. Bukola Saraki, then the governor of the state. The university was designed to be a center for entrepreneurship and community service. When fully operational, the university is planned to have three campuses which are: The Malete campus which is the main campus and home of the colleges of pure and applied science, college of information and communication technology and the college of Education. The new Osi campus will at the full capacity contain the college of Engineering, college of Humanities, management and social sciences while the Baruba campus will contain the college of Agriculture and veterinary sciences.

Kwasu also has several academic centers such as the center for Ecology and Enviromental Management and Studies (CEERMS), center for African Oral Traditions (CAOT), Institute for Asian studies (IFAS), center for pre-degree and remedial studies (CPDRS), center for Human rights and law (CHRL), center for modernity and Religion and so on.

 

 

Application For Admission

In order to gain admission into Kwasu, you must have the following requirements:

  1. Selected Kwasu as your first choice in the UTME conducted by JAMB. You can also apply for admission if you don’t choose it at all
  2. Possess O’ level result with a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings, candidates with awaiting results can also apply for admission but they will not be considered until they present their results.
  3. To apply for admission into KWASU, visit the official website at myportal.kwasu.edu.ng/applicant/register and click create account
  4. Fill the application form and enter the appropriate details such as your name, phone no and a valid email address.
  5. Select Undergraduate (Regular) under academic program.
  6. Select “UTME” or “DE” under the mode of entry also select “full time” under the mode of study then select KWASU under the “center”/button then register your account.
  7. Proceed to the next page, click save then go to the payment page.
  8. Check the payment details on that page then click “Make payment”
  9. Go to the “Confirm pre-admission screening registration fee” and click pay now
  10. Enter your card details (card no, cvv, expiry date and pin) on the payment platform then click “pay”. The registration fees is #3000 for the screening and #2000 as administrative charges.
  11. After paying successfully, you will be redirected to the registration page to complete other stages after which you must print out the registration form and payment receipt.

School Fees Schedule

All fees, tuition, hostel accommodation and acceptance must be paid online by visiting the official website and following the onscreen prompts.

– New students (Indigenes) #99,500

– New students (Non-indigenes) #200,000

– Returning students (Indigenes) #109,500

– Returning students (Non- indigenes) #210,000

– Hostel (Optional) #35,000

 

 

Register Courses Online

  1. Visit the official website at http://app.kwasu.edu.ng/portal
  2. Click the login button at the top right corner
  3. Enter your registration no and password then click login
  4. Select your courses, register, save then submit
  5. Ensure you confirm the required courses from your level advisor before proceeding to the portal to register your courses.

 

 

Check Result Online

  1. Visit the official website at http://app.kwasu.edu.ng/portal
  2. Login using the steps above
  3. Select “my results” then enter your details
  4. Check results then print or logout.
