Gtbank Internet Banking: How Register And Perform Transaction On The Platform

We’ll be focusing on the Internet Banking, which enables customers to perform banking transactions like Funds Transfer, payment of bills, Airtime recharge and lot’s more without having to visit any GTB branch.

 

How To Register For GT Bank Mobile Banking

GTBank has made Internet Banking easy for their customers, their is no stress in getting your internet banking details as it is usually sent to your email once you open a GT Bank Account.

Simply, goto your email and search for a mail from intops@Gtbank.com, you’ll see your Internet ID and password there.

 

Alternatively

dial *737*6*5# from your phone number linked with your GTB Account to request for your login details. Confirm this request by either entering the last four digits of your ATM or your pin.

If any of this method doesn’t work for you, simply visit a GT Bank branch closest to you to fill the Internet Banking form to request for it.

 

Logging in for the first time

1. Goto http://www.gtbank.com
2. Search for the internet banking tab and click on Login.
3. Enter your internet banking details (User ID and Password).
4. Once you’ve logged in you’ll be required to change your password to a new 6-digit password.
5. You’ll also be required to choose a security question, which you’ll provide an answer to. This Security question is used to authorize transaction alongside the Hardware Token.

NB: To perform third party transactions and perform other financial transactions successfully on GTB internet banking platform you have to get an Hardware Token, which you can request for at any GT Bank closest to you.

How To Transfer Funds On This Platform

1. Login into your account.
2. On the sidebar by left bar click on “Account Transfers” from the list of options.

In case you can’t find “Account Transfers on the Left sidebar of your screen, here’s what to do:

i. On the left side bar click on ” Self Service”.

ii. Select “Add Services”.

iii. A new page would be displayed to you which would bring out a list of numerous services that you can add to the transactions you perform on the internet banking platform.

iv. Scroll down to the 5th option, which is “Account Transfers”, tick the kind of Account transfers that you want to do boxes you wish to perform on your account.

v. After you must have finished ticking, scroll down to the button, input the answer to your security question in the field provided and click on continue.

vi. You’ll be taken to the top of the screen, where you’ll see a field to enter the transaction code generated from your Hardware Token (Do so by clicking on the white button on your hardware token).

vii. Enter the transaction and click on submit.

The “Account Transfers” option would now appear on the sidebar by the left, click on it. Now that you have it, let’s continue from where we stopped.

3. After clicking on “Account Transfers”, a list of options would appear, select if you want to transfer to a GT account or other banks.
4. After selecting your Account transfer option, input the details of the account you want to transfer to, the amount and the other required info.
5. Enter the answer to your security question and generate a transaction code from your Hardware Token by clicking on the white button.
6. Enter the transaction code generated from your hardware token and submit.

 

How To Buy Airtime

1. Login into your account.
2. On the sidebar by left bar click on “Airtime Purchase” from the list of options.

In case you can’t find “Account Transfers on the Left sidebar of your screen, here’s what to do:

1. On the left side bar click on “Self Service”
2. Select “Add Services”

iii. A new page would be displayed to you which would bring out a list of numerous services that you can add to the transactions you perform on the internet banking platform.

1. Scroll down to the 12th option, which is “Airtime Purchase” and tick it. v. After you must have finished ticking, scroll down to the button, input the answer to your security question in the field provided and click on continue.
2. You’ll be taken to the top of the screen, where you’ll see a field to enter the transaction code generated from your Hardware Token (Do so by clicking on the white button on your hardware token).

vii. Enter the transaction and click on submit.

Now you have the Airtime Transfer Option on your Left sidebar.

3. Click on “Airtime Transfer” on the left bar, select if you wish to Self Recharge or recharge others (Including your phone number that isn’t linked to your GT Bank Account.
4. Enter the details, the amount and the phone number of the person you wish to send Airtime if it isn’t your number.
5. Enter the answer to your security question and generate a transaction code from your Hardware Token by clicking on the white button.
6. Enter the transaction code generated from your hardware token and submit.

 

How To Check Your Account Balance

1. Login into your account.
2. On the left sidebar, click on “My Account’ option.
3. Select “Balance Enquiry” from the option.
4. Your account balance would be displayed to you immediately.
