MTN Smooth Talk Plan: How To Migrate To This Bundle And All You Must Know

MTN Smooth Talk Plan is one of MTN Nigeria’s oldest voice tariff package. It offers MTN users cheap call tariff to call MTN to MTN lines and other networks. Recently, NTN made a massive upgrade to the Smooth Talk plan and it is now called Smooth Talk Plus.

The package comes with even better and attractive benefits like cheaper call rates, free weekly data and lot’s more.

About The Smooth Talk Plan

The smooth talk plan was strictly a voice based tariff with no weekly data bonus.

The call rate was charged at 20k/s at a daily cost of N5 to all networks.

The New Smooth Talk Plus Plan

Like we earlier stated that it is a massive upgrade to the Smooth Talk Plus with better benefits. The package allows MTN customers to make calls at a flat rate of 15k/secs to all networks in Nigeria. This new tariff plan does not involve any daily or monthly fee except for the fact that your first one (1) minute call for the day will be charged at 40k/ secs (that is NGN 24.00/ min).

Instead of the N5 per day costs that is removed per day from your phone whether you make calls or not with the Old Smooth Talk Plan to call at 20k/s, you’ll charged 40k/s for your first minute in a day to calk at 15k/s in the upgraded plan.

Benefits Of The Smooth Talk Plus Plan

1. Calls at 15k/s to MTN numbers and other networks after you must have been charged 40k/s for first minute per day. At 15k/s you would be charged at N9 per minute.

2. Free weekly 10mb data bonus for N100 weekly recharge.

NB: if you finish your weekly 10mb data bonus before the end of a week, when you load another recharge card in that same week, you won’t be given another weekly 10mb data bonus until another new week.

3. Free 100% bonus on every recharge you make, which is valid for only three(3) days. So if you load N100, you’ll be given N100 bonus.

NB: You can use the 100% bonus to make calls to all networks, send SMS and for PAYG data. All the calls and SMS you send would be charged on your bonus recharge and it is until the bonus recharge is exhausted or expires that you’d charged on your main balance.

You cannot use the bonus recharge to subscribe for data or other MTN added services that requires subscription.

Via USSD Code: Simply dial *401# and you’ll get a success message.
