Airtel Internet Setting: How To Setup different Phones And All You Need To Know

Airtel Nigeria is one of Nigeria’s telecommunications giant with a very large user base and broad network connection.

Airtel have over the past months upped their internet speed and also introduced interesting 2G packages with large data volumes.

So imagine that you just got your Airtel Sim and it can’t browse or you currently have that problem of not being able to browse with your Airtel Sim with all the huge data benefits that they offer.

Now you don’t have to miss out on all that anymore as we’d be showing you the steps to request for Airtel internet configuration settings or manually configure your device.

 

How To Request For Internet Configuration Settings

Although, Airtel Internet settings is automatically configured in your phone once you insert the Airtel Sim into it and you start browsing immediately without needing to do any settings on your phone. In some cases due to one reason or the other, the phone or sim doesn’t just configure and you can’t access the internet.

Here’s how to request for Automatic Configuration from your phone if you fall to that category:

You can do that by sending “internet phonebrand model’ to 232 eg “internet Nokia 3310” to 232.

The Push settings should be sent to your phone almost immediately, when you receive the push settings, kindly save and activate it for use.

NB: Some devices, including some type of modems do not support the push settings, so you might not receive the push settings.

Goto: Settings> Cellular data> APN settings

Username: Leave blank

Password: leave blank

iPhones 3G and 4     

Goto: Settings> General> Network> Mobile Data Network>

Username: Leave blank

Password: leave blank

APN    : type in internet.ng.airtel.com

iPhone 4S and iPhone 5       

Goto: Settings> General> Cellular> Cellular Data Network

Username: Leave blank

Password: leave blank

Goto: Settings> More Settings>MobileNetwork>Access Point Names> Click on Menu options

Select New APN

Name: type in Airtel

Username: Leave blank

Password: leave blank

Authentication type: type in PAP.

Goto: Settings> MobileNetworks> Edit APN
