The Bauchi State University was established in the year 2011 as a result of increasing number of the state’s own candidate seeking admission to other universities.
It is a public type of university with its motto as “Ilimi Tushen Cigaba” (“Knowledge is the Foundation of Progress”), and its Vice Chancellor in person of Professor Auwalu Uba.
Its main campus is located in the city of Gadau.
This is where the faculty of Sciences & Arts are based. Another campus in the Bauchi State University is located in Misau. The faculty of Law is located here, and the faculty of social & management is located in the campus based in the city of Bauchi.

Admission Requirements For Candidate Applying For Any Of The Courses Above
1.All candidate must have chosen The Bauchi State University as their choice of institution.
- Candidate must meet up with the required JAMB UTME cut off mark.
- Candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes in their O’level subject combination, at not more than two sitting in SSCE, GCE, or any of its acceptable equivalent.
The subject combination must include English Language and Mathematics in the SSCE examination such as WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or any of its acceptable equivalent.
- Direct Entry candidate must possess a minimum of lower credit passes in their entry exam.
How To Apply For Bauchi State University Admission Process
To apply for the Bauchi State University admission process, candidate are expected to follow the steps below.
- Visit the school’s website at basug.edu.ng
- Create your personal account on the website, using your JAMB UTME registration number and other details of yours.
- Next you have to make payment for the application form.
- Pay the sum of two thousand naira (#2000) for the form online using your debit card details, or you can pay using the Remita Retrieval Reference.
*Bank charges would apply in any of the method you use.
- Once payment is complete, the online form would be open for you to fill.
- Now you can fill the online form. Provide your personal details, and upload the necessary documents.
- Input you email address and phone number.
Make sure they are valid and functional because you would be sent some information to this platform by the school.
- Upload your recent passport photograph.
- Proof read the application form and submit.
- Print out your acknowledgement slip and payment receipt.
Conclusion
On the day of your screening test, proceed to your screening venue with all your documents.
You would be require to submit them to the screening officers present at the venue.
After the test, you can check your screening result on your portal by logging in and clicking on “Screening test result”.
If you have been admitted, you can check that on “Admission Status” menu.
