This is to inform all applicants seeking admission into the Sokoto State University that the admission list for all who have been offered provisional admission for undergraduate programmes for the 2018/2019 Academic session has been released and is available online. Applicants were chosen based on their performances in the last Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Post-UTME.

 

 

Admission Requirements

Every Applicant must have at least 5 credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and mathematics at any O’Level, examination like GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.

Applicants with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels and credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject will be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.

Applicants must score at least 200 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening by the Sokoto State University.

How To Check Admission Status

  • Login to the Sokoto State University admission status checking portal at http://www.ssu.edu.ng/admission_status.php.
  • Fill in your JAMB Registration Number in the column required.
  • Lastly, click the ‘Check Admission’ link to view your admission status.
  • Successful candidates should login to the JAMB website to accept/reject the offer of Admission on JAMB CAPS.

View your status from the JAMB admission status checking portal:

  • Logon to jamb.org.ng/efacility
  • Enter your Jamb profile complete with your username and password.
  • Scroll down to the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab and click.
  • Select your Examination year and fill in your registration number in the required columns.
  • Lastly, click on the ‘Check Admission Status‘ to reveal your Sokoto State University admission status.
