Currently, there is mobile data wars in Nigeria and its getting more interesting. After which, Smile Communications modified its Unlimited premium plan to offer no speed and data caps – at the same old price of ₦19,800 for 30 days. Right now, for the very first time, MTN is being as generous as Airtel with data volume. The Nigeria’s largest mobile network now has a weekly Jolly plan that is a carbon copy of Airtel’s weekly binge data plan. Both new and old subscribers pay ₦1,500 for 6GB of data for 7 days.

However, there are other Jolly data plans too, which includes a daily one that gives a subscriber 1GB for ₦350 for 24 hours, as well as another that gives 2GB data for ₦500 for two days. If you consider the fact that MTN has been known to be stingy with data, the MTN ₦1500 for 6GB plan is a big one.

The MTN Awoof Jolly Data Plan And Its Benefits

The only cheapest MTN data plan you can get at the moment is the MTN welcome back data plan offer that gives users 250MB for N100 valid for a day, 1GB for N200 which is valid for a week and 4GB for N100 which is valid for month. Though this data plan is however only available for eligible customers only.

However, MTN has just announced a new data plan offer which they call the AwufJolly data plan. The plan gives users 200MB for N200 valid for 2 days, 1GB for N350 valid for 1 day and 2GB for N500 which is valid for 2 days.

What you should note is that even though this new Awuf Jolly data offer is not as cheap as the welcome back offer, it works on all MTN SIM cards. Also, you can subscribe as many times as you want even within the same validity period.

Simply dial 1311*1# on your MTN line.
After which, choose from the data plans.

For 1GB at N350 Jolly Data:
just dial *131# then reply with 1, then 1 again and reply with 99 then reply with 6.
The plan is valid for 24 hours

For 2GB at N500 Jolly Data Plan:
This plan is valid for 2days and you subscribe to it by dialing *131# then reply as follows
1>>1>>99>>7.

For 6GB at N1500 Jolly Data:
This plan is valid 7days. And to subscribe to it, simply dial *131#
Then reply in these format
1>2>99>6

You can then select the data plan of your choice. After selecting, the amount will be deducted from your airtime balance and you will receive an SMS confirmation.
